Sugar Rush: story and setting

Gummy bears and jellybeans line the tumbling 7×7 grid. Unlike the Gates games, wins are not counted anywhere on the screen. They are counted in touching groups, called clusters.

Sugar Rush Super Scatter followed on 15 January 2026, per the studio’s release. The heart of the original is the marks and multipliers left on grid spots. The game remembers where wins happened, and a repeat win on the same spot grows its multiplier.

How it plays, summarised from the studio’s description

Cluster wins
Clusters of 5 or more matching symbols pay, up to 150x for 15+, with tumbles continuing the sequence.
Marked spots and multipliers
Winning symbols mark their spots. If another winning symbol lands there in the same spin, a 2x multiplier is added, doubling with each hit up to 128x.
10 to 30 free spins
3, 4, 5, 6 or 7 scatters award 10, 12, 15, 20 or 30 spins. During the feature, marks and multipliers do not reset between spins.
Bonus buy
100x, returning 96.50% on the server. The server has no ante setting.

Paytable from the studio’s demo server. A spot multiplier on a winning position multiplies these values (up to 128x). The top symbol pays 1x for 5 and 150x for 15 or more.

There is only the base spin, and the bonus buy also returns 96.50%. Buying changes the stake per decision, not the expected loss rate. A thousand base spins (KRW 1,000,000 staked) carry an expected loss of KRW 35,000.

The chance of each event and the expected loss over 100, 1,000 and 10,000 spins of Sugar Rush

Even over 10,000 spins (about 2.8 hours at one spin a second) the chance of landing the max win even once is 0.43%, while the expected loss over that stretch is KRW 350,000.

Worked out from the studio’s published average frequencies as 1 − (1 − 1/frequency)^spins. It treats spins as independent; real sessions swing widely around these figures.

Reading the numbers

  • For the top symbol, a cluster of 5 pays 1x, 10 pays 5x and 15+ pays 150x. The jump from 14 (70x) to 15 (150x) more than doubles the pay, so big wins come from cluster size and spot multipliers together.
  • A max-win frequency of 1 in 2,340,000 is about once every 27 days at one spin per second. Against Gates of Olympus, which has the same 5,000x cap at 1 in 697,350, that is about 3.4 times rarer.
  • Multipliers attach to grid spots, not symbols, the biggest difference from the Gates games. Spot multipliers persist through free spins, which reads as a design that leans on the bonus.
  • No ante, and 96.50% for both base play and the buy. In practice the only choices are the stake and whether to buy.
